Section 2: Proposed Activity

Please explain how many people you expect to attend, and how you have arrived at your total projected audience figure. If you have organised a similar activity before, what were its audience figures?
Which audience development area will your project focus on?*
All activity we support needs to outline how it will contribute to the Film Audience Network priorities outlined in BFI's National Lottery strategy. These priorities are: 1) Engaging with children and young people; 2) Accessing a wider choice of film; 3) Tackling social, economic and geographic barriers; and 4) Engaging with heritage collections that reflect the diversity of the UK. Please see the guidelines for more details on each area.
If your titles are not yet confirmed, please tell us as much as possible about the types of films you would like to show, with examples where possible.
Tell us about your planned activity. Please add information about the film/event programme, the venue(s), any partners you will be working with, and how this activity fits in to your organisation’s overall audience development aims. (Up to approx. 500 words)
Film Hub Scotland provides strategic funding only in cases where a specific project is identified as directly and effectively responding to the BFI Priority Outcomes. Tell us how your activity will address and impact one or more of these key focus areas: 1) Engaging with Children and Young People, 2) Accessing a wider choice of film, 3) Tackling social, economic and geographic barriers, and 4) Engaging with screen heritage. (Up to approx. 500 words)
Please briefly tell us how your activity responds to the BFI Diversity Standards. This could be through your staff team, the films selected for screening, the partners you aim to work with, as well as the audiences you are targeting. Please let us know of any Descriptive Subtitles, live captioning, BSL interpretation, or other access measures you are planning to include.
If you received strategic support from Film Hub Scotland to deliver this or similar activity in the past, tell us how this proposal will iterate on your previous work. What new elements will be introduced to ensure that this project amplifies your impact, rather than wholly repeating previous work? (Up to approx. 250 words)
Tell us what you hope to learn from this activity. What does success look like and how will this be measured? We will provide a report and survey template; how do you plan to ensure that you maximise the number of collected surveys? Do you plan to have any additional methods of collecting feedback, such as focus groups or 1:1 feedback sessions? (Up to approx. 200 words)
If you are unable to upload your budget document, please email it to info@filmhubscotland.com.
