The annual conference for people working in UK film exhibition returns in-person and online on 1-2 December 2021. This year, we’re heading to Watershed in Bristol for our eighth edition. Experience the conference via livestream or right there in the venue.
This Way Up is a space to gather, connect, learn and be inspired. Delivered by BFI FAN, This Way Up brings the sector together to share new ideas, celebrate our work, and collectively imagine the future of cinema-going for audiences across the UK.
Fewer tickets are available this year due to limited venue capacity, so do book in-person tickets quickly to avoid disappointment. Please avoid booking more tickets than you require. In-person ticket sales will close 26 November 2021.

Have you been part of an inspiring project or programme this year that you’d like to share while attending This Way Up 2021?
Do you have an idea or innovation that could make a change in the exhibition sector, or burning question or provocation to put to your industry colleagues?
We’re looking for proposals for a 10-minute, in-person presentation or a 5-minute video presentation, which will be screened online and at the conference. Please note that presentation slots will only be available to ticket holders.
