We are looking for a marketing freelancer based in Scotland to support the release of three or four new feature films released in 2022/23.

The BFI Film Audience Network creates innovative, grassroots marketing campaigns across the UK, to build audiences for new independent film releases. We are looking for a marketing freelancer based in Scotland to support the release of new feature films in 2022/23 as part of FAN New Release Support, a UK wide project led by Watershed in Bristol.

BFI FAN is a collaboration of eight Film Hubs (incl. Film Hub Scotland) with a membership of over 1,300 film exhibitors across the UK.

Working with cinemas on incredible films like Another Round, Limbo and Ali & Ava, FAN has worked with local press and online bloggers, flyered, flash-danced, Instagrammed and Facebooked, organised special events, created GIFs, zines and badges – to ensure that everyone across the UK can find out about great independent films screening near them.

You are:

Passionate about film
Into arts, culture and entertainment
Experienced in marketing and or arts/event promotion, preferably in Scotland
Film distribution experience desirable
Organised, pro-active, a self-starter
Good at networking and building relationships

What’s on offer?:

£1000 per film title, based on five days work each (with work on possibly three to four films in 2022/23)
