New Producers

New Producers’ is a paid training opportunity for early-career film curators.

The programme aims to reduce the barriers to entry to Scotland’s film exhibition sector. Since 2020, New Producers’ has offered a pathway into film exhibition for early-career curators and programmers.

Each year, four New Producers’ design, curate and deliver film screenings in partnership with a host organisation.

Previous host organisations have included: Alchemy Film & Arts, Glasgow Short Film Festival, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Scottish Queer International Film FestivalTake One Action!Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival and Scottish Documentary Institute.
