FAN Conversations: Developing Sustainable Programming Models

Join the second of a series of discussions designed to create and respond to the need for exchange amongst film exhibitors across the UK.

About this event

Join the second FAN Conversation, ‘Developing sustainable programming models beyond the mainstream’ to gain insight into how exhibitors and distributors approach programming. This session will explore programming strategies (in-venue and online) for titles that might be perceived as being ‘risky’ or ‘too challenging’ in a context of shrinking resources, seismic shifts in film distribution models and an abundance of content to choose from. We’ll hear practice-based insights on the highs and lows of offering audiences a diverse range of films and different approaches to growing the market for such films.

There will be space for discussion between attendees and the opportunities to put questions to our panelists. The session will be chaired by Senior Box Office Analyst for Gower Street Analytics Delphine Lievens and include guests Federica Pugliese , Programme and Marketing Manager at Catford Mews; Paul Gallagher, Programmer Manager at Glasgow Film Theatre; Bryony Forde, Theatrical Sales Director at Altitude Film Entertainment. We’ll have an additional distributor to announce in the coming weeks.FAN Conversations will take place via Zoom Webinar, with opportunities for participants to ask questions and share experiences via the chat function.

All sessions will have live captioning. Please do let us know if you have additional access requirements and we will do our best to meet them.
