Tanatsei Gambura is a cultural practitioner based in Scotland. As part of the New Promoters scheme, she is currently working as a film programmer at Take One Action Film Festival. Tapiwa is an award-winning filmmaker based in Johannesburg, South Africa whose interests are in activism and storytelling. We are delighted to share a conversation between the sisters, sharing their thoughts about the challenges and opportunities existing for African creative practitioners and their relationship with the rest of the world. Key to the discussion are inquiries about the legitimacy of Euro-American authorship as well as the stability of the creative economy in Africa.
