Younger audiences are critical to the future of cinema and exhibition and as such they are of particular importance and focus within the BFI Strategy 2022. Film Hub Scotland members can access the new 15 – 30 Ticketing Scheme fund to create or develop a long-term, on-going ticketing offer for your youth audience (age 15 – 30) with the aim of encouraging regular attendance and experimentation.
The form this takes will vary across organisations; it could be a dedicated ticket, a membership card or a loyalty scheme. We are here to help you shape your idea so please get in touch if you have any questions or want to chat through ideas.
Support is available for initiatives beginning 1 January 2019 – 31 March 2020.
Support for projects will be considered up to and around £2,000. If you would like to request additional funding, please contact Georgia on 0141 352 8613 or email us at email@example.com to discuss your needs.
Priority areas for Film Hub Scotland:
In addition to engaging 15-30 year olds the following are also key priorities for Film Hub Scotland, and the BFI Film Audience Network and, therefore, we are keen to support projects which also include elements that address these areas:
o Specialised and independent film covers a broad range of themes and stories but certain groups remain under-provided for or excluded both through representation on screen and in the audience. We are looking to support projects that are targeted at and co-developed with underrepresented groups.
o The screening of archive film is essential for audiences to understand and appreciate their screen heritage and therefore will are looking to support projects that present archive and classic material to audiences in new contexts.
Film Hub Scotland is committed to the BFI Diversity Standards.
